Step 1.
Amazon is reneging on it’s promised to remove DRM from Audible. Follow that promise and Ask Amazon to call an audible from the line of scrimmage.
Write Amazon a comment with your own reason why you think Audible should be take off the DRM pill. Remember that reasoning with corporations means that you have to talk money before ethics so the point is to convince Amazon:
A. they’ll make more money without DRM and
B. that DRM costs them money.
Here are some salient points:
- DRM costs more in overhead which means it cost more to produce and less margin when sold.
- DRM is an economic loser.[1]
- People want to own what they buy so aren’t likely to buy DRM.
- DRM doesn’t work[1].
Of course there are more arguments against DRM, but stick to money and they might listen.

We the undersigned ask Amazon to commit Audible to DRM-free audiobooks.
After you have added your name to this petition an e-mail will be sent to the given address to confirm your signature. Please make sure that your e-mail address is correct or you will not receive this e-mail and your name will not be counted.
